Funds for Energy Upgrades to Hospitals in Chetwynd and McBride

Prince George, B.C.- Hospitals in  Chetwynd and McBride are among  23 government buildings in the province that will receive funding for energy upgrades.
 
 McBride Hospital will receive just under $63 thousand dollars for energy upgrades which are expected to reduce that facility’s greenhouse gasses by 51 tonnes.
 
In Chetwynd, the hospital there has received $110 thousand dollars for upgrades that will reduce greenhouse gasses by 49 tonnes.
 
In all, the upgrades to buildings throughout the province are expected to save enough energy to power 600 homes a year, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 3,000 tonnes and save more than $400,000 a year in energy
costs.
