Prince George, B.C. -  Any pent up frustration heading into the final week before Christmas?  Well, get your throwing arm ready -- it's the Prince George Cougars' Teddy Bear and Toque Toss against the Kamloops Blazers tonight.

Cougars Vice-President Brandi Brodsky says the annual event has become one of the most popular nights during the team's games at-home.  It's the Cougars first goal of the game that will literally launch a frenzy, as fans throw their teddy bear and toque donations onto the ice.

Brodsky says the donations benefit the RCMP's Victim Services Unit, the Salvation Army and other local organizations in need over the holiday season.

"This event is the best way for the Cougars to go into the Christmas break," she says.  "We are looking forward to the big moment when fans can throw their donations on the ice and help our community."

Prince George Minor Hockey and Wood Wheaton Supercentre also have a huge role to play this evening...they'll be the ones loading all the teddies into trucks on the ice to help with the clean up.

The puck drops at 7pm this evening.  Tickets are still available at Ticketmaster, 250-564-5585
