Nak'azdli Call for Judicial Review of Approval of Thompson Creek Acquisition of Terrane

Prince George, B.C.- There is another issue over the Mt. Milligan mine.

The Nak’azdli First Nation has filed a notice of application in the Federal Court of Canada, calling for a judicial review of the decision of the Canadian Minister of Industry to approve Thompson Creek Metals acquisition of Terrane Metals Corporation.

The Nak’azdli claim Minister Tony Clement failed to consult adequately with their First Nation before approving the acquisition.

The acquisition was completed on October 20, of this year.

While Thompson Creek Metals is not named as a  party to the judicial review and no claims are made against the company, Thompson Metals  says it intends to take “appropriate steps to participate in the judicial review to the extent necessary to ensure that the interests of the Company are protected.”

Although the Notice of Application states that the Nak'azdli are seeking a variety of remedies, including setting aside of the Minister's decision, Thompson Creek Metals  does not believe  this judicial review will have a material impact on their company's results of operations or financial condition.

I checked the court documents out last time they filled a judicial review of the milligan project and no where did it list the The Nak’azdli First Nation as the plaintiff.
It listed FRED SAM as the plaintiff..So who do you think gets the benifit of the ruling in the favor of FRED SAM?

Judicial review payed for by yours truly..The tax payers...for the benifit of FRED SAM.

I will post the court links once i find them.

Cheers.
