I decided not to have this problem this Christmas. By the time I paid HST, carbon taxes, municipal taxes, and a host of other hidden taxes I didn't have money for but one Christmas present, and that was for the wife. Humbug, Bah!!
Oldun.....give me a break.

The HST help pays for all those highway projects that are going on in BC....how many of them, yup a tonne.

Carbon Taxes are in place to help us remember that we should think about the environment and the future and try and reduce are carbon footprint.

Municipal Taxes pay for water, sewer, city roads, cn centre, street lights, etc etc.

Hidden taxes.....like what? Bottom line is I think this country is pretty darn good because we pay in taxes to have a good country.

If you don't like it there's always a few 3rd world countries that you could go to that probably a little lighter on taxes, but I bet you wouldn't be much happier or safer.

This is one of the best countries in the world period. If we looked back at the 1990's and our average tax level, I bet a good chunk of us would actually have more money in our back pockets now compared to back then. But there are some out there that figure we should have all these good things but get them for free......really.....come on, let's get real!!!

I'll gladly pay these taxes to continue living in the best country in the world. Anybody that thinks otherwise, obviously hasn't travelled much in the world to see how the rest of the world lives.
yeah mwk but its way funner to stay ignorant and complain about paying taxes rather than educate ourselves and see what is actually best.
mwk...Give ME a break! why do you think everybody is fed up with this BC Government!
"way funner"? Hmmm? OK.
