The BC Ambulance Service and the RCMP attended the area.  The collision occurred on an island in the middle of the lake.  The victim, was transported to the University Hospital of Northern BC where he was pronounced dead.

Due to the warmer temperatures, the surface of the lake needs to be assessed for safety, before investigators can get to the scene of the collision in order to determine the cause.

My condolences....always a terrible thing to happen during the holidays.
RIP whoever you are and our thoughts are with your family and friends.

pizzacook, put down the whiskey.
Some of the rude, ignorant, disrespectful comments posted on this site are ridiculous and should not be tolerated.
A man died.
Where is the compassion? Do you care what his family and friends are going through right now?
Judging from some of the comments I've seen, I would suspect some of you have had a few too many beers, whiskey shots or crack hoots when posting your comments on Opinion 250.
Same thing happening over on the story about the second death. Truely no class!
