Woman from Chase Dies in Crash North of P.G.

Prince George, B.C. - A 47 year old woman from Chase has died in a crash north of Prince George.
RCMP say the rollover crash happened around 11:30 this morning and was witnessed by several motorists who stopped to help the two occupants of the GMC pick up truck. The vehicle had rolled on Highway 97 around Tallus Road, near Summit Lake.
The 50 year old driver received non life threatening injuries, however the 47 year old female passenger died when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over in the ditch. Both occupants were transported to the hospital in Prince George. The occupants were both from the Southern Interior community of Chase, BC.
There are no further details on their identity at this time.
Traffic Services investigators are continuing their examination of the scene in effort to determine the cause of the crash. Alternating lane traffic access was expected to be flowing this afternoon.
