Kelowna, B.C.- One man is facing charges following a deliberate crash into the Emergency area of the Kelowna General Hospital.

RCMP say they   arrived at the scene around 11:00 last night, to find a 1987 Chevy Blazer had been driven through the emergency room doors and was wedged in the entranceway.

Witnesses have told investigators the driver of the vehicle had arrived at the Emergency room earlier, he left before seeing a doctor, then returned to express his frustration over having to wait 45 minutes. He is then said to have threatened to drive his vehicle through the doors of the emergency department if he didn’t get immediate medical attention.

The man then left the hospital, and moments later, his vehicle cam e crashing through the emergency double door and came to a stop in the hallway.

When police arrived, the male was still inside the vehicle. A 41 year old man has been arrested for Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, mischief over $5,000 and Uttering a Threat against property.

He is to appear in court today.

"he left before seeing a doctor, then returned to express his frustration over having to wait 45 minutes"

Based on what happened after the incident, I can only assume that the reason he came to the hospital emergency services was not life threatening. The report is kind of weak in that area.
Why not research it and get back to us with the rest of the story, Paul Harvey.
I'll be back! (terminator)
I'm betting he received immediate attention (maybe medical attention but more likely psychiatric attention)
"Uttering a threat against property"? What a dumb ass law. Geeze! I threaten my lawnmower a lot especially when it won't start. Sometimes my tools in my garage don't do the job. Throwing them against the wall considered tool abuse? That's all we need in the coming years. Lawyers for inanimate objects. Sure hope my lawnmower doesn't get in touch with a lawyer.
In the US of A I suppose "Uttering a threat against property" comes under Homeland Security. Threatening property is a.k.a. terrorism.

I wonder if the signs saying that cars will be impounded our towed away at owner's expense is a threat against property?

I guess some people are allowed to threaten property while others aren't.

I wonder if property knows the difference between a just threat and an unjust threat.

Could I become a counsellor to console property that has been threatened? ;-)
