Russia Wins Gold In Juniors

By 250 Sports

We at 0-250 know it really doesn’t matter, so we thought we’d just mention that Canada lost the World Juniors to Russia 5-3.

We were leading 3-0 going into the third period.

Now we would like to quietly go away by ourselves and cry a bit.

Next Year?

RUSSIA YES YES YES WOOOOOO
Way to report on the tough news Elaine and Ben!! :-)

This has to be the hardest story of a very young 2011... so far..

As said there is always next year... and you missed this point, I'm sure just an oversight... The Cougars get Brett Connolly back!! YAY... first place run is underway... GO COUGARS..

Please those of you who live in PG, please go out and support them, it's a franchise year for them, and you are unlikely to see Mr Connolly next year as he is bound to be in the show...

Just sayin'
Canada got beat by their own coach.
YUP YOU COULD SEE IT COMING!
They didn't play Connolly enough. End of story.
There was a distinct similarity in the two losses - The coach over-played the top two lines and under-played the third and fourth lines.

In both games, the top two lines started to fade before the end of the second periods, but were still put out there too often in the third periods.

As for Connolly, I think that Hockey Canada wanted him on the team, but the coach did not. How else do you explain why the top goal scorer in that entire group was the spare forward, and only got the limited time he got because of the injury to Schwarz?
What an entertaining series to watch. Not quite sure what could have been done differently for Canada to win the gold but I have to believe that next year they will work harder and be more determined to win. I plan to be in Edmonton/Calgary next year to cheer our team on in person. Good games boys you have nothing to be ashamed of.
sorry for Canada but we will get over it. As far as Connolly the Cougars should trade him this year while we can get a couple of good young players for him. They have won more since he has been gone than when he was with the team. He is a great individual player, as far as a team player the jury is still out. Word is he won't be here next year anyway so lets get something for him
