Terrace, B.C.- RCMP say the autopsy on a 15 year-old Terrace boy is now complete, but it’s unclear when or if a conclusive cause of death will be determined.
The teen died at Mills Memorial Hospital early Monday morning after he suffered a blow to his chest and stomach while attending a birthday party in Thornhill.
Corporal Sean Hall with the Terrace RCMP says investigators are now waiting for both the pathologist’s report and the findings of toxicology tests. Hall says he can’t say whether the results will take two days or two weeks, but says given the nature of the case, the file is a high priority. Hall says police want to make sure the investigation is thorough.
RCMP say questions about underage drinking at the party are part of the investigation as well. Police say once all the facts have been gathered, investigators will decide which direction the case may take.
A memorial for the 15 year-old boy is scheduled for Friday.
