“State of the City”

Another day older and deeper in debt -jc
Council has to get some civil courage and start asking more questions, like what happens to the people sent here to our local jails when they get out? What happens to the bauldy hues drop outs?? How did our City get to where it is??We are in trouble.
People who get out of jail generally have some restrictions attached to their release but for the most part, they're free to go where they want to. As well, most of the Baldy Hughes "dropouts" are likewise free to go where they please.

I'm not sure why this would be an issue for council. They have no authority to say who is or isn't allowed to reside in PG.
Faxman, Thanks for answering my question , you are the first one that has. IF this is not a issue for council, then what do we do about it?? sit on our buts and watch our city be distroyed. The goverment is useing us as a garbage dump. We have to get some civil courage and some GUTS. We need a leader.
"what happens to the people sent here to our local jails when they get out?"

That is easy. As you very well know, they stay in the community. As a result, cities like Kingston, Ontario that have federal penitentiaries for instance, now have a whole population made up of ex cons and their kids and grandkids and great grand kids. That jail has been around since 1835. Without that maximum security prison, there would be no Kingston.

The feds are now considering putting up a wall around the entire city because of the number who are no longer interested in taking up living in the city and are starting to scatter into the rural areas near Kingston.

The same happens at almost every other city that has a prison.

In fact, if PG did not have the Hilton on the Hill, we would have dropped our population to way below 50,000 by now.

;-)
Bitter ..... why the big concern? Who has been putting such thoughts into your head?
Staff will make a suggestion to limit the number of delegations per Council meeting to try and keep things moving smoothly.

Democracy in motion. We have to restrict the delegations so that our hidden agenda will not be exposed.
