Cougars Face Bruins In Chilliwack
By 250 News
If Wednesday's meeting in Chilliwack between the Cougars and Bruins is like their three previous get-togethers, then first goal wins. All three of the Cougars and Bruins head-to-head match-ups have been won by shut-outs as the teams collide for the first of three consecutive clashes.
Wednesday is the second trip to Prospera Centre for the Cougars, who shut-out the Bruins 4-0 on November 24, backstopped by a 28 save performance from James Priestner. The two teams met December 28 and 29 in Prince George, with Chilliwack taking a 3-0 victory in the first game, followed by a 5-0 Cougars romp in the second. Priestner again shutting the door for the Cougars in goal that night with 22 saves.
The Cougars come into the game currently first in the BC division with a 21-17-2-1 record for 45 points, the same total as the Vancouver Giants, who handed the Cougars a 5-2 decision at Pacific Coliseum Tuesday night. James Dobrowolski is the hottest of the Cougars players right now, currently riding a five game point streak, collecting four goals and eight points over that span. The Bruins ended a five game slide with a 5-4 overtime win over Seattle Sunday, improving their record to 18-18-2-1 for 39 points, fifth in the BC division.
The Cougars and Bruins collide in Prince George this weekend, with puck drop both nights at 7:00pm at CN Centre. Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
