The Cougars lead the Rockets by a point for second in the BC division. The Cougars go into the game with a 22-19-2-1 record for 47 points, two back of the Vancouver Giants. The Cougars and Rockets are meeting twice in January, with another encounter scheduled January 28, which will be broadcast on Shaw TV. The Cougars won the season series opener 6-2 on September 25 at Prospera Place, but the Rockets have come back to take the last four get-togethers. On the other side of the ledger, forward Mitchell Callahan and defenceman Tyson Barrie have a Rockets high seven points against the Cougars this season, with Callahan collecting three goals and Barrie six assists.
The Cougars will head to Vancouver and Chilliwack on the weekend, then head home for a date with the Kamloops Blazers January 26 at CN Centre, starting at 7:00pm. Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
