Interim head of the SS Titanic party.

Now Lally and Dix are fighting over new membership sign ups and bags full of cash. These clowns can't run a party and they want to run the province? I know the Liberals are not perfect but I would vote for them in a heartbeat over the ndp.
Lonesome sparrow you speak the truth.

It's too bad the NDP doesn't get their act together. I think if they had a little more on the ball they would keep the Liberals honest.

I agree. If only the NDP had someone like Kash Heed to lead them out of the wilderness they would be away to the races. Throw in Keith Baldry and Catherine Urqhart from Global TV and you would have a real winning team
Kash Heed- unproven allegations. Catherine and Keith are both astute political observers and can see from their daily close up view what a mess the ndp is.

Adrian Dix had to quit as Glen Clark's chief of staff for changing documents related to the "Casinogate" scandal. Now a member of his own party is taking him to court to challenge membership sign ups. Train Wreck!

It's a black dawn for a group whose sun just won't rise. If they dragged Corky Evans out of retirement and made him their leader they'd have a chance. Otherwise, they're just going to continue to 'represent' well-known problems, and never get a chance to try to 'solve' them.
They had a full ten years to solve something! What did they solve?

They can't 'solve' any problems by sticking to failed ideology. Any more than the Liberals can. Evans is the first New Democrat, indeed the ONLY recent politician of any stripe, to openly admit that. None of the Liberals have even clued into it yet.

They continue to peddle the line that government should operate just like any other business in its delivery of services to the public. But how can it do that efficiently when the 'bookkeeping' isn't the same?

No "other business" operates solely off a Budget. Balanced, or otherwise. It's a necessary financial tool, of course, but completely inadequate to be more than an estimate of cash flows. The "other businesses" all have a complete set of accounts, of which the Balance Sheet is central.

For it shows changes that register the ongoing correctness of some line of action by an increase in Assets over Liabilities. Reflected financially as an increase in Net Worth.

All we see currently in government are the Liabilities. A growing Provincial Debt, and that as an excuse for ever more taxes to service it. Lets see the contra account, the Assets, that are, in any well managed "other business", always greater. And go from there.
