Prince George, B.C.- The weather may have held some people back from attending the pond hockey tournament at West Lake last weekend, but it didn’t  deter one reporter who posted his work with  CNN.

A reporter flew in (by helicopter) and put together a special piece, which has become  quite popular.

The video hit the main page of the CNN website yesterday and in a very short period of time, that video had been viewed more than 42 thousand times, and shared about 500 times.

Tourism Prince George CEO,  Aiden Kelly is beaming “.  It’s not too often that we have been able to garner media coverage for Prince George on such a large and positive scale with a worldwide news provider.”

That was fun...2 thumbs up:)
Reminds me of the days of snowgolf when PG was in the news on a similar and eventually larger scale.

Even though we are followers in this case, this is the type of winter activity we need to encourage more, and a bit closer to town if possible.
I forgot the most important question, of course. What prompted the report from CNN from PG instead of other areas of both the USA and Canada? Maybe someone can enlighten us and we can give some credit to that person or organization.
I remember snow golf one year it was held out at Tabor ski hill. Arte Johnson of Laugh-In fame was there once again. A few years previous to this one he had someone dump Gluwine all over him. This time he had mentioned something about that incident and about 10 minutes later someone once again dumped Gluwine all over his sheep skin coat. Well, the language was pretty wild as he climbed into his car and left.
The CNN feed was orchestrated by Susan Hubbard from Northern BC Tourism and John Reed of Adventure Architects and Tournament series creator for BC Pond Hockey; after months of discussion, cooperation and planning. Thank you to Susan and her team!
Great Video!!
