Prince George, B.C- For RCMP Superintendent Brenda Butterworth-Carr, the Anti Gang Summit was an eye-opener for the public, and the result has been a positive one for her detachment.
In a presentation to Prince George City Council last night , she said  the summit showed her detachment they have the support of the community, and certainly there have been more tips flowing to her detachment leading to arrests, drug seizures and seizure of items believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime.
While her detachment has not changed any of its direction,"We already had some programs in place because we were aware of the wave heading our way, but  without  that  preparation, it would havebeen muchworse." She says the community support has made a difference.
School District 57 Superintendent Brian Pepper says for  the  District  "It was  about information acquisition." He says the School District already has a very good relationship with the RCMP which provides several programs to the District, but he was particularly interested in the early intervention and prevention programs. He says the District is  keen to learn more about the programs offered in Surrey as a “wrap around  gang prevention” program. Pepper admits, these are challenging financial times, however, he has confidence solutions can be developed by working in partnership and sharing the costs involved.

I don't need a Summit to tell me how bad things are, can't park a Car any Place without being cased by criminals, go out catch the Bad Guys and lock them up, no more Meetings to just talk about it.
Until judges and immigration board members start to properly sentence and/or deport the gangsters who wreak havoc on our society, nothing will change. In fact, they'll get worse.
Hmmmm ,what a load of BS..EH!
We are number one for a reason, this guy is being deported and what R they think'n,they ain't think'n thats what it is.And jus where do they send him,too this cesspool called Prince George.

I'm on a diet so no donuts for me but I'll thinking you may be right zyblxteu.
IMO the school district should be looking into social media and how this is a tool used by these creeps both for potential recruitment, but also for intimidation purposes.

Kids should be taught courses now days on privacy controls, both how to use them and why they are important... things like who can see your profile (even pictures), who can see your friends list (ie intimidating family and loved ones being a tool of the gangster wannabe's), the type of information that is posted (ie schedules or addresses)... and most important is the rational for having parents monitor the activity because kids often won't know how serious something can be until it too late, or they are far to intimidated (scared or embarrassed) to seek help.

All the gangsters are online just like everyone else, and they are just as devious and evil online as they are in the real world... arguably more-so... most gangsters are wimps in person that are in gangs to feel important and powerful acting in pack mentality, and this is amplified online.
