Prince George, BC-  Today is Luke Degerness’s 18^th birthday and there will be candles glowing outside the Prince George courthouse to mark the date, but it is not a celebration.

 

Luke has been missing since June of 2007. He was just 14 when he disappeared.

 

The event outside the courthouse is a vigil, his mother, friends and family have never lost hope that Luke will come home.

 

Despite efforts by the local RCMP detachment to locate Luke, there has been no sign of the teen since he spent the night at a friend’s place on Oak Street , June 8^th in 2007.

 

His mother, Gina, is hopeful friends and family will attend this evening’s event and perhaps the vigil will spark a memory or information that will lead to Luke’s whereabouts.
