RCMP Release New Details of Van and Suspects in Friday Shooting
By 250 News
Prince George, B.C. – The search continues for a white van, believed to be connected to a shooting at a West Lake area property on Friday.
RCMP received a call of a robbery at 1:43pm on Friday and information was received that shots had been fired.
While en route to the property, RCMP officers located an adult male with a non-life threatening gun shot wound. The male was transported to the University Hospital of Northern BC by the BC Ambulance Service.
Although Prince George RCMP set up a number of road blocks in the area, they were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. At the time, the only description police had was that it was a 1990’s white van with no windows in the back and that it had Alberta license plates.
A further description now details that this was a full sized van, white, with Alberta plates, with no windows on the side, but that it DID have windows on the rear doors. The doors on the side of the van open out, not sliding and the rear passenger side bumper was slightly pulled out. The van was dirty.
The information also includes descriptions of the two suspects in the van. The driver had a shaved head with brown stubble, the passenger had slightly longer brown hair, both appeared to be Caucasian in their late 20’s and both appeared to be lean.
If you see a vehicle matching this description, please call 9-1-1 immediately. Do not approach the occupants, as they should be considered armed and dangerous.
If you have any information about this serious criminal offence, the suspect vehicle or the suspects, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS (8477).
