Notice of rezoning application sits at 1627 6th Avenue

Prince George, B.C. - Following a public hearing, city councillors have voted unanimously in favour of a rezoning application that will allow for a new medical office, with upstairs apartment suites, at the corner of 6th Avenue and Vancouver Street.

The applicants, Dr. Michael Buchanan and Dr. Marion Roesch, plan to re-develop the site along with the adjoining property, 621 Vancouver Street.

The applicants will tear down the building at 621 Vancouver and consolidate the properties to build a two-storey building on the newly-created larger lot with two medical offices on the first floor and two residential suites on the second floor.

City staff has recommended final reading be withheld until consolidation of the two lots has been registered.

Nice to see this type of redevelopment in (near) the downtown core.
hmmmm not sure I would want to live above Dr.'s offices with all the air borne illness' that would be coming into the office
I am sure the ventilation system will deal with this properly. Should be part of the city permit system to check this out.
When the Phoenix Medical Centre lobby is jam packed with patients coming to and fro added to the line up mostly out the door of the ground floor clinic and around every thing and every one in the lobby, maybe some one can make a discreet phone call to the fire department to come and take a looky loo at the overabundance of sickly folk jammed into a large phone booth size place of business.
