Windrow on 3rd Avenue in the downtown core
Prince George, B.C. - Snow removal efforts are full-steam ahead with a full complement of city staff and contracted services working to uncover city street's yesterday's snowstorm...
The City's Supervisor of Streets Operations, Mick Jone, says 32 pieces of equipment have been out today and a total of 46-48 pieces will be out tonight, continuing with the high priority number-one and -two routes, problem hills and bus routes.
In additions, the windrows that were piled in the city's downtown core last night, while the snowstorm railed on, will be picked up tonight.
Jones says crews will begin moving into the 'orange zone' residential neighbourhood tomorrow, one day ahead of scheduled garbage collection for the area. (Orange zone is shown in the map below)
Jones says the full staffing complement will be on for the next several days, to clean up after this latest round of winter.
