Prince George RCMP released this photo of the keys mailed this past summer

Prince George, B.C. - The Prince George RCMP's Serious Crime Unit is looking to speak with the person who found a set of keys and dropped them in a Canada Post mailbox sometime this past August or September.

While not commenting specifically on which case the keys pertain to, police say they need to speak with the good samaritan as part of an ongoing homicide investigation.  Investigators say the information could prove vital to the investigation.

In addition to a War Amps key tag, the key ring also contained:

  • a miniature bear trap
  • a photo tag with a picture of a young boy
  • a leather Ford key chain
  • and a Save-On More tag.

RCMP are hopeful the individual will phone the Serious Crime Unit at 250-561-3300

Wonder if the police can just go to Save On Foods and have the card scanned and get info from it.

I'm sure this has already been done.
One of those comments you shouldn't have posted until you thought about it longer??? lol
My save on card is registered to one "Bob Smith" at 1313 Evergreen Terrace.

They probably just want to know where the guy found the keys. But I'm just guessing.
a miniature bear trap? Gross.
I'm sure the RCMP know who the keys belong to, or else they wouldn't be tied to a specific investigation. Probably want to find out where they were found and if the person has info to share.
If you READ the article it says they want to talk to the person who FOUND them. Read before commenting!
