PG Biathlete Wins Bronze At Winter Games

Prince George, B.C. - Sarah Beaudry captured a bronze medal in the 12.5-km Individual Biathlon at the 2011 Winter Games in Halifax earlier today.

The 16-year-old who trains at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club finished behind two biathletes from Quebec, with a time of 45:31.8, followed closely by Kelowna's Julia Ransom in 4th place with a time of 45:45.7.

Team BC now has a medal count of 7 - two silver and five bronze - and sits in 3rd place behind Quebec and Alberta.

Beaudry competes in the 7.5-km sprint on Tuesday and the pursuit on Wednesday.
