Gold At The Games

Prince George, B.C.- Local biathlete, Sarah Beaudry, has captured a gold medal in the 7.5km Sprint at the 2011 Winter Games in Halifax.

With her win, Beaudry's medal brings Team BC's count to three golds, four silvers, and seven bronze medals - good for thirds spot at the games behind Quebec and Alberta.

The 16-year-old finished ahead of Quebec's Audrey Vaillancourt, and Kelowna's Julia Ransom. Earlier, Beaudry won a bronze medal in the 12.5km Individual race.

She competes in her final event later today, the 10km Pursuit.
