One in Custody Following Hold Up

Prince George, B.C.- One man is in custody following a robbery early this morning in Prince George.
 
RCMP say the hold up took place this morning at the Mohawk Gas Station at 835 Central Street West.
 
When police arrived at the scene just after 5 this morning, they were informed the station had been held up by a  single male wearing dark clothing and carrying a large edged weapon.
 
The thief got away with a small amount of cash.
 
Surveillance cameras tipped police to a suspect and  within an hour officers were able to track the suspect to a residence in the 3600 block of 5th Avenue. 
 
A 23 year old male resident of Prince George has been arrested and is being held for a bail hearing later today.  RCMP will be recommending charges of Robbery, Mischief, Weapons offences and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
