Prince George, B.C.- In April, the Civic Centre in Prince George will be transformed as Prince George will host a Year of Science themed expo.

The expo is themed ‘Science and the World Around Us' and will take place on the 11th and 12th of April.

The hope is the expo will bring the “Year of Science” message to the northern regions of the Province.

The free two day event is open to the public and will feature expert presenters, workshops and displays on a variety of topics from forestry to fisheries, cooking and wine, green technology bio fuels and mining.

The Prince George event is one of four themed Expos in B.C.

Our Conservative MP's must be pretty pissed about this.
this is great!!
Green technology---oooooohhhh! Boo-hiss.
Hey, does anybody know whatever happened to the young girl's idea for a new asphalt mix using recycled plastic? The city was going to lay a test section in College Heights but didn't have time that fall and we never heard any more about it. What happened? Was it not one of the city bigshot's ideas so it was shelved? Hmmm?
Just curious. We should be taking ideas that young people have and running with them. If they don't work perfectly at first, there should be R and D on them. Sometimes trying to fix a good idea leads to much bigger and better things.
