Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George have made an arrest in connection with a sexual assault that happened nearly three and a half years ago.

On September 27, 2007, an adult female was walking home in the early morning hours, in the Patricia Boulevard Queensway area of Prince George when she was approached by an adult male.

The male physically forced the woman into the bush along Connaught hill and sexually assaulted her.

After the suspect fled, the victim walked to the RCMP Detachment and reported the sexual assault.

Although a description was provided, the suspect was unknown by the victim and remained unidentified.

DNA was obtained and compared to the National DNA Databank in Ottawa, however no match was obtained.

Recently, a  DNA sample was submitted to the National DNA Databank and matched to the unknown sample in this investigation.

27 year old Curtis Pierre, also known as Curtis Tom, has been arrested and charged with sexual assault. He remains in custody and is expected to appear in court again on March 16th.

well thank goodness he was found through DNA, hoping this should help the victim to find some closure and save other women from this animal.
and was he a taxi driver??????
What did he do to get his DNA put in to the database?

I would make a really funny joke about taxis but last time I did that our newly Albertan friend threatened to do bad things to me... ;-)
I don't hold a grudge interceptor. I got your humour about 3 minutes after I gave you my response. I apologize. Should have put my brain in gear before my fingers on this keyboard.
I too am curious how he got DNA put into the database - sounds like he could be a serial offender. Glad he was caught and I hope his victim(s) feel a little more safe now.
taxinapothole: re your March 2 2011 7:48 PM comment. Hey, sounds like you're catching on! Hope you're doing well. No bike weather down there yet?
I am really happy that they have found this guy. All women can feel a little safer. DNA samples do work. Good work RCMP! Thanks for being there!
