By 250 News
The Prince George Cougars and Vancouver Giants lock horns for the final time in the 2010-11 season Friday night at Pacific Coliseum.
The Cougars have won two of the previous seven encounters with the Giants this season, including a victory in Vancouver on November 13 by pulling out a 3-2 win in a shoot-out. The Cougars last visit to the lower mainland wasn't quite as fruitful, losing 3-0 to the Giants on January 21. The Cougars and Giants match-up opens another three games in three nights road swing for the Cougars, who are 3-2-0-1 in the six games during their previous three game weekends. James Dobrowolski leads the Cougars with eight points in seven games against the Giants this season with three goals and five assists.
The Cougars head into the game tied with the Kamloops Blazers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Both teams head into Friday three points clear of the Seattle Thunderbirds, who the Cougars will face Saturday night in Kent, WA. The Cougars finish the trip in Kennewick, WA, with a date against the Tri-City Americans Sunday.
The Cougars will play their fourth straight road game in Kamloops on Friday, March 18, before finishing the regular season at home the following night against the Blazers, starting at 7:00pm at CN Centre. Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
