The CN Centre has announced that the upcoming Tiesto  concert scheduled April 27th, 2011 has been cancelled due to unforeseen technical limitations of the venue.

CN Centre Manager Andy Beesley says “We know this is going to be a great disappointment to the many Tiesto fans that were excited about this concert. We are hoping at some point in the future to be able to reschedule Tiesto. The CN Centre looks forward to continuing to bring in exciting new and world class acts to Prince George".

Ticket holders who purchased tickets from Ticketmaster via the Internet or by phone will have their money automatically refunded to their credit cards, and they can expect this credit to show up in approximately 1 – 2 weeks.

If people purchased their tickets in person at a Ticketmaster box office, they need to go in person to their point of purchase and get their refund, however, refunds will not be given until after March 25th to allow Ticketmaster time to prepare.

Yep. I hear its a very complicated type of "technical limitation;" the limitation is due almost zero people buying tickets.

What's a dj?

From the 26 of April to May 1 he is scheduled to perform every night in cities from Winnipeg to Victoria.

Based on his music and his grueling schedule, this guy is a party animal or is on some great stuff.

Looks to me like the doors are open from 6 or 8 pm to 2 am in most places. The music is primal trance (dance) for adults. In some places it indicates no chairs provided. Combine that info with the age restrictions and the "party" atmosphere in the video, I am starting to wonder whether the "technical" limitations have anything to do with that.

He performed to an audience of 250,000 in Ipanema. I think the Brazilians must go crazy over his kind of music. The rhythm is very much urban South American

Here is a video on youtube, watched by almost 43 million. It is amazing he can’t afford some better head phones. 

Too bad the city does not have a PAC, then he could have canceled for poor ticket sales in a venue with better washrooms and more comfortable seating
I think this is something I would have totally been into in my late teens / early 20's, however, there just aren't enough people in this demographic in Prince George to be able to pull this off. Not worth his while to bother to come here, I'm sure.
I think its obvious that the majority of posters on this board are out of touch with a genre that is huge.
It might have to do with age or region, but I know that the thirty and under age bracket ahs a huge followong with the dance genre, and its wide base of music. Trance, electronic, house, techno, whatever it is called is huge. And the popularity of raves in this town prove that there is a following here.
Tiesto is at the top of this game....
Like gus's post says, there is a lot of people out there that like this stuf....

But I'm not one of them!!!!!
