You have a chance to speak your mind and make suggestions on the Heritage Commission's  Draft Plan tonight.

An open house is scheduled to take place  from 7-9 p.m. upstairs at the Civic Centre.

Heritage Commission Chairman Jo Graber says the  plan is designed to  set out the priorities for the Commission, with the number one project being the completion of an inventory of heritage  buildings and sites in the area.

The complete draft plan can be reviewed at this city site.

The Heritage Commission and its work have come into the spotlight recently with the efforts to  save KGV School.

There is nothing Heritage about anything in PG. Go to Montreal or Halifax to view something over 100 years old. What PG has in most cases including KGV School is called 'Junk'.
Aint' it great...
You are certainly correct, I have lived in Montreal which is well over 300 yrs old, keep in mind BC is an infant in comparison, have you been to Huble Homestead, the Railway & Forestry Museum, Exploration Place, those volunteer driven organizations have worked tirelessly to preserve and showcase our history and through the efforts of the Heritage Commission we can all look forwared to future preservation of our history as young as it is, perhaps you should attend the public forum and offer some help? Moving forward in a positive manner is far more productive than looking back negativly, here's hoping you lend a helping hand :-) Kelly
