Prince George, B.C.- A UNBC Environmental Science student has been awarded a $1000 and an opportunity to attend and present at an international environmental trade show.
Nathan Park has been recognized as an environmental advocate winning an ECO Canada “Student Ambassador Award.”
Today through Thursday, Park will be at ECO Canada’s booth presenting his research on enhanced biogas production by anaerobic co-digestion of fruit, vegetable waste and sewer sludge during the 2011 Americana conference and tradeshow in Montreal.
Every year post-secondary students across Canada (aged 18 and over) compete for the chance to present their research topic at an international environmental trade show in the form of a poster. Each winner is awarded with a $1,000 prize and a conference pass giving them the opportunity to network with key decision-makers and prospective employers and learn how their skills fit into the future job market.
