Prince George, B.C. - Two  people are facing charges following two separate incidents in Prince George.

RCMP say  the first  arrest involves a 51 year old man who is accused of breaking into the  BX  Cold Beer and Wine store  on Carney  at about 4:20 this morning.  When police arrived on the scen, they spotted a vehicle leaving the parking lot.

That vehicle  was followed, and a short time later, the stolen  1991 Plymouth Acclaim was  located near 17th and Juniper Streets.  The driver  got out  of the  vehicle and tried to make a run for it, but  was apprehended a short time later.

51 year old Robert Henry Weibe of Prince George is now facing several charges in connection with the incident.

About three hours later, police responded to a call about a vehicle that had  been stolen from Hollandia Drive.

The vehicle, a green 2001 Dodge pick-up, was located by members of the Prince George RCMP Crime Reduction Team at approximately 9:30 AM. One male driver was observed in the vehicle.

The suspect took off,  and  while police did not pursue the stolen truck, they did get several calls about  the suspect vehicle narrowly missing a pedestrian near PGSS, and that it had  struck a median on Massey Drive.

Around 11:30, members of the Prince George RCMP Downtown Enforcement Unit located and arrested a 26 year old Prince George man on foot, without incident. It is beleived this  suspect  was the driver of the stolen  truck.

The man is being held in custody until a court appearance tomorrow, his name will not be released until after  charges have been  sworn.  Police are recommending numerous charges.
