Two Men Facing Charges Following Two Incidents in P.G.

Prince George, B.C. - Two people are facing charges following two separate incidents in Prince George.
RCMP say the first arrest involves a 51 year old man who is accused of breaking into the BX Cold Beer and Wine store on Carney at about 4:20 this morning. When police arrived on the scen, they spotted a vehicle leaving the parking lot.
That vehicle was followed, and a short time later, the stolen 1991 Plymouth Acclaim was located near 17th and Juniper Streets. The driver got out of the vehicle and tried to make a run for it, but was apprehended a short time later.
51 year old Robert Henry Weibe of Prince George is now facing several charges in connection with the incident.
About three hours later, police responded to a call about a vehicle that had been stolen from Hollandia Drive.
The vehicle, a green 2001 Dodge pick-up, was located by members of the Prince George RCMP Crime Reduction Team at approximately 9:30 AM. One male driver was observed in the vehicle.
According to the RCMP, when they tried to corner the vehicle, the driver rammed three unmarked police vehicles and narrowly missed striking a police officer on foot. The suspect took off, and while police did not pursue the stolen truck, they did get several calls about the suspect vehicle narrowly missing a pedestrian near PGSS, and that it had struck a median on Massey Drive.
Around 11:30, members of the Prince George RCMP Downtown Enforcement Unit located and arrested a 26 year old Prince George man on foot, without incident. It is beleived this suspect was the driver of the stolen truck.
The man is being held in custody until a court appearance tomorrow, his name will not be released until after charges have been sworn. Police are recommending numerous charges.
