Bruce Kirk Named Interim Director Of Baldy Hughes

Prince George, B.C. – Bruce Kirk known for his involvement at the Salvation Army has been appointed interim Executive Director and General Manager of the Baldy Hughes Addiction Treatment Centre.
 
Kevin England, Chairman of BC New Hope Recovery Society which operates the center  says “We couldn’t find a more suitable person or anyone who has done more to help the needy in Prince George over the last 6 years than Bruce.”
 
 
Kirk is widely known in Northern BC as the Executive Director of The Salvation Army in Prince George. He will continue his work with the Salvation Army and work with Baldy Hughes in separate roles for the next 3 months.
 
“Baldy Hughes fits perfectly to what I’ve been doing for the last 20 years”, said Kirk, who has extensive experience in social services working in addiction treatment centers, prison Chaplaincy, food banks, emergency shelters, crisis counseling and public relations. “I can’t wait to start.”
 
“Having someone who is familiar with the suppliers, donors and most importantly, the clients from the north, is a huge asset to our operation”, said board member and Prince George resident Theo Warkentin. “We share a great common vision
for Baldy Hughes and having someone with the experience and credibility of Bruce will help us take it to the next level.
