Is Firemen a politically correct term?
so far; I think.
why not correct, if you are a guy working in a hotel cleaning rooms you are still a chamber maid.
They called the fire department to investigate an unknown odour?
What, someone called 911?

"Hello, 911? I'm scared, I can smell something, and I don't know what it is,
so it must be dangerous and life threatening, please send help!"

SOunds almost like a prank.

Thank goodness the FD was not already occupied at something important.
