P.G. Saves Japan Fund Raising Events Set

Prince George, B.C.- There are several events planned for this weekend in Prince George, to raise funds to help the people of Japan in the wake of the devastating and tragic earthquake and tsunami which hit that nation March 11th.
Organized by a group of Japanese born Prince George residents, the events include:
- Friday, March 25th. Pub night and benefit concert at Riley’s Pub (Days Inn Hotel) starting at 7:00 pm admission by donation. Featuring local band “Standeven and the Falldowns”. Pub also featuring drink specials.
- Saturday, March 26th. Japanese cultural activities at Pine Centre Mall from 9:30 am – 6:00 pm. Red Cross donation boxes will be available.
- Sunday, March 27th. Japanese cultural activities at Pine Centre Mall 12:00 – 5:00 pm. Red Cross donation boxes will be available.
- Sunday, March 27th. Japanese cultural activities at Two Rivers Gallery from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Red Cross donation boxes will be available.
- Monday, March 28th. “Teens for Japan” benefit concert at Art Space (Books & Company). Featuring local artists “The Delightful Gang”, “Treebeard’s Revenge”, Darby Yule and Jaron Chidiac. Doors open 7:30 pm, show starts at 8:00. Admission by donation.
