Election Means Employment Opportunity

Prince George, B.C.- This is day three of the federal election campaign.
While the candidates fire up their election machinery, Elections Canada is looking for some people to work on the election.
Elections Canada is hiring, and while the returning offices for Prince George- Peace River and Cariboo-Prince George, are in the early stages of set up, you can apply through the Elections Canada website byclicking here.
In order to qualify, you must be:
- A Canadian Citizen,
- At least 18 years old on election day ( May 2nd 2011)
- Live in the electoral district in which you want to work ( not applicable for the position of information officer.)
As you already know, the date for the 41st General election in Canada is May 2nd, however, there are three days set aside for advance polls. You can cast an advance ballot on Friday April 22nd, or Saturday April 23rd, or Monday April 25th.
You may also vote by mail, or in person at your local Elections Canada office by special ballot, but, if you want to vote that way, you must apply for a special ballot voting kit no later than 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 26th. Applications are available at www.elections.ca, by phone or in person at local Elections Canada offices and Canadian diplomatic or consular offices.
