No Suspects in Vehicle Trashing.

Prince George, B.C. - RCMP in Prince George  are looking for information on  who  is responsible for trashing a vehicle  over the weekend.

On Saturday morning at 10:18 AM, Prince George RCMP received a complaint of a mischief to vehicle on Haldi Road near Prince George.

Officers attended the area and found that a vehicle had been severely damaged by one or more offenders. The vehicle, a 2008 Hyundai Entourage, had its tires stabbed, windows smashed, exterior spray painted and interior doused in gasoline. The damage occurred sometime overnight and is estimated to be above $5000.

The Prince George RCMP are requesting the public's help in identifying the person or persons responsible for this blatant act of vandalism. That incident was one of several  property crimes involving vehicles over the weekend:

  • 2011-7214 Theft from an open blue Dodge Dakota, in the 3800 block Pinewood Ave, between 2230hrs, Thursday, March 24th and 0600hrs,Friday morning. Change and a rosary were stolen. No suspects.
  • 2011-7322 Mischief; the back window of a 2008 Dodge Caliber vehicle was smashed out,in the 2300 block Victoria Street, between 1400hrs and 1430hrs, Saturday, March 26th. Nothing stolen. A suspicious grey van was spotted in the area earlier.
  • 2011-7312 Mischief: front window damaged and axle broken (by being pulled), on a 1993 Grande Marquis, in the 800 block Douglas Street, within the last three days (reported March 26th). Complainant had a suspect.
  • 2011-7310 Theft of rear licence plate (BCL: 85214W), from a flat deck trailer in the 2900 block Boeing Road, complete with valid decal. No suspects.
  • 2011-7359 Attempted theft of a vehicle, by three male youths (no description given), in the 5800 block Oxford Drive. No damage, nothing stolen.
  • 2011-7373 Theft from a 2000 Ford F150, between 1700hrs,Saturday, March 26th and 0030hrs Sunday, March 27th, in the 2500 block Ridgeview Drive. Stolen was a Makita drill valued at $500 (no serial no# available). No suspects.
  • 2011-7396 Theft of a 1997 black Dodge Ram pickup, with a canopy and a very faded front end, from the 1900 block Clearwood Crescent. Theft occurred between 1800hrs.,March 26th and 1100hrs, March 27th. No suspects
  • 2011-7406 Theft of the rear licence plate (BCL: 412HAL), from complaint's 1997 Honda Civic, sometime Saturday, March 26th. No suspects.
  • 2011-7479 Theft of a front licence plate (BCL:643SJH) from white Saturn. Reported Sunday, March 28th, however complainant is un sure when this actually happened. No suspects.

There were also a couple of  break and enters  in the region:

  • 2011-7197 B&E into a residence in the 400 block of Polar St., in the Bear lake area, sometime in the first week of March,2011. An LG notebook, valued at $250, Ser#907KSHN009073, a party Light Starter Kit, valued at $500 and an air compressor (no serial no#), were stolen
  • 2011-7210 B&E into garage beside a residence in the 9000 block Fox Drive, between 1700hrs, Thursday March 24th and 1400hrs Friday, March 25th.Four Harley Davidson tires (275/45/22)mounted on aluminum, 22" rims, valued at $7,400. No suspects.
  • 2011-7236 B&E into a residence in the 400 block Wainwright Street, sometime in the afternoon of Friday, March 25th. Several hand made aprons stolen, unknown value. No suspects.

A truck was stolen from the area less than two weeks ago and they didn't catch the thieves but someone who recognized the truck as a friends saw two teenagers driving it the same night it was stolen.
I understand the area is bad for minor crimes but this destruction of a vehicle is disgusting.
Anyone for public "Flogging" , this City is out of Control .
