This new, German made machine is portable, and precise!

Admiral Roofing has recently purchased a special machine,  one the Prince George company hopes will open new doors for business. It is a portable machine that can form metal for siding, roofing, soffits and fascia.

This means,  a customer no longer has to place a special order for the high quality metal sheeting with companies in Vancouver, Edmonton or back  east, says Blake Goldie, one of Admiral Roofing employees.  It should mean the builder has reduced costs for shipping and reduced wait times for delivery.  It also means customers will have a  wide choice in the colour and thickness of the metal  sheeting.  "We get the roll of material, show up at your door, and  roll off the panels as  needed" says Goldie.

The machine was used to make the metal clad siding on the new Kin Connector, and has been used for the copper roof on a newly constructed log home in the region.

The portability factor means Admiral could have an inside edge if there are construction calls connected with the 2010 Olympics.  because the machine can be hauled just about anywhere.

Built in Germany, but shipped out of Georgia, the $130 thousand dollar  machine  uses computer technology to  set the rollers and cutters at precise  settings for the perfect angle and cut for each and every panel.

Admiral Roofing's previous work is visible on many buildings in Prince George including the copper dome on the Courthouse, the roof on the Aquatic Centre, and the Two Rivers Art Gallery.
