Prince George, B.C.- Highway 16 ,  three kms east of Slim Creek is closed once again to  all traffic.

While traffic had been  trickling through  in single, alternating fashion with pilot cars,  the whole section is now closed. As was reported earlier this week,  Drive BC had indicated  the roadway could close again at any time if the situation was deemed "unstable".

According to Drive BC, the  roadway  MAY be reopened at  midnight tonight, however, it says the confidence level of  that happening is"low".

Check with DriveBC,  www.drivebc.ca  and click on "major events", for the latest update before heading  out on that stretch of roadway.

The roadway has been closed off and on since Tuesday night when a Propane B train rolled off the highway.  The second tanker  exploded, the first was allowed to burn off.  The driver sustained  minor injuries.

Meantime, Highway 1, which was  closed in both directions between Yale and Boston Bar,  because of a rock slide,  is now  open to  single lane, alternating traffic.
