Prince George, B.C. - It's sure to intrigue those that do and those that are more content to watch it on a big screen...
The Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Management Program at UNBC is presenting the 6th Annual Reel Paddling Film Festival tonight in Room 7-212 at UNBC. The international film tour features the world's best whitewater, sea kayaking, canoeing, and lifestyle films of the year.
Festival Director, Scott MacGregor says audiences will be treated to hairy whitewater action, stand-up paddle surfing, some motivating environmental documentaries and hilarious short films capturing the lighter side of paddling.
One of the films to be shown is Frank Wolf's 'Mammalian', which details his two-thousand kilometre Arctic canoe journey from Yellowknife to Rankin Inlet. Wolf is the filmmaker who travelled through Prince George this summer as part of his latest project - a documentary on his trek to trace the proposed route of the Northern Gateway Pipeline project.
