Prince George, B.C. - Prince George non-profits and charities have seen the restoration of slightly more than half-a-million dollars in gaming grants.
Premier Christy Clark has made good on a promise to top up gaming grants to previous-year levels, after many BC groups were left struggling by a new staggered funding system. For Prince George, that translates into $516-thousand dollars in additional funds. Beneficiaries of some of the larger amounts include:
- Prince George Native Friendship Centre $61.9K
- Pacific Sport Regional Sport Centre $25K
- Carney Hill Neighbourhood Association $22.6K
- Child Development Centre $19.9K
- Family Young Men's Christian Association of Prince George $18K
In addition, a number of School District 57 Parent Advisory Councils have seen their budgets bolstered by this restoration.
