Fire Destroys Outbuildings Of Home In Hart

Assistant Fire Chief Eldon Gjerde says 15 firefighters from three halls responded to the blaze in the 7000-block of Opal Drive at the north end of the Hart just after three this morning.

Gjerde says several outbuildings at the residence were fully involved when fire crews arrived.  Fortunately, the structures were not occupied and there were no injuries.

He says crews quickly brought the fires under control, but remained on the scene for some time extinguishing hot spots.

The cause of the fire and an estimated cost of damage has yet to be determined.  Investigators are examining the scene now.
