Prince George, B.C. - Jennifer MacKinnon had been dozing on the couch when her phone rang about 10-minutes after 8pm last night...

She missed the phone, didn't recognize the number on her call display, but decided to return it.  MacKinnon got the Spruce Kings Lottery Show Home line and the person at the other end thought they may have been trying to contact her about purchasing a last-minute ticket - not quite...

MacKinnon's other line was ringing, so she said thanks and clicked over - the voice on the other end was Spruce Kings' Marketing Manager, Jim Young, calling with the good news that she and husband, Bruce, had won the home.

MacKinnon says, "I just couldn't believe it, I went running up through the house screaming at my husband."  They drove to the Aberdeen Glen subdivision to see it right away, "It's just gorgeous - that kitchen, oh my gosh, I love the kitchen."

For his part, Young says being there to show the MacKinnons their new home was a thrill. "It's just the icing on the cake to this job," he says, "They were just so emotional."

Jennifer says she didn't phone anyone en route to the show home because she still wasn't sure if it was real.  After 'touching it', they did phone their two sons who live out-of-town to tell them the amazing news on the way over to deliver it in person to their third son and his family.  She says they're all just so excited by the news.

The MacKinnons are still coming to terms with their big win and aren't yet sure if they'll move in, but Jennifer says her husband does golf at nearby Aberdeen Glen "all the time".

Congratulations Bruce & Jenny
Congratulations, but do the smart thing and sell it. Why pay huge taxes on a behemoth like that when you don't seem to have any children living at home anymore, and then enjoy the money. Go where it's warm and sunny.
"Congratulations, but do the smart thing and sell it."

I would have to agree with But's comment.
