City Recognizes Outstanding Volunteers

Prince George, B.C. - The City of Prince George has recognized the unsung heroes of our community at a Civic Appreciation Banquet held earlier this evening...
The gala was meant to honour the many volunteer committees in Prince George, as well as highlight the outstanding contributions of a number of individual volunteers.
"We are a community that relies heavily on the support and commitment of our volunteers," says Acting Mayor Debora Munoz. "It is our pleasure and honour to recognize the tremendous efforts of so many passionate individuals in Prince George."
This evening's award winners include:
Recreation Award of Merit - recognizing individuals in the community who have made an outstanding contribution to the recreation field for a minimum of 10 years

Outstanding Community Service Award - recognizing individuals in the community who have made an outstanding contribution to a community service for a minimum of 10 years

Outstanding Volunteer Award of Merit - recognizing individuals in the community who have made a significant contribution to numerous recreation and/or community service areas for a minimum of 15-years
