Who'd a thunk it, eh?
Good on 'im. I hope we never elect that party again.
I'm really starting to think the NDP doesn't want to win an election?
Farnworth had a shot at picking up votes from those who would not normally support the NDP.
That ain't going to happen now!
whos Dix?
We could have the making of a rather interesting situation here.

The Liberals could very will lose the election if they do not get rid of the HST very quickly. If the HST remains and the Liberals lose, then the NDP will reap the benefits of this tax without taking any of the risk involved.

Anyone with half a brain and a behind, would know that the HST has to be killed immediatley and the Liberals will have to start to mend fences with the voters. If they dont then they are history. The NDP will win by default.

While Christy and her clowns fight with the taxpayers of BC to try and get them to pay this stupid tax. The NDP works hard in the background to take over the Government.

Time for the Liberals to wake up. We dont need another huge campaign of propaganda on the HST. We need the Government to scrap the tax, and get on with the business of Government.

Dix had to resign as Glen Clark's chief of staff for altering documents in an official investigation.....shows that he will not let a little thing like the laws of the land get in the way of his political agenda.
Brownshoe - Dix is the one to the left of Crispy.

Lonesome Sparrow - Dix was never convicted of a crime as was Campbell. If memory serves there were a few Lieberals that had to resign. Cash Heed twice even. Politics know no party lines when it comes to shady dealings.
Glen Clark? Wasn't he a premier who sold BC out on the Fast Ferry Fiasco. Now Dix is gonna run the party? INTO THE GROUND. Oh, well, another few years with the Liberals, that's life.
Well I hope Christy sends a nice bottle of wine to the NDP as a thank you. Wow the NDP are determined to never win a election.
Andyfreeze: "Farnworth is the best choice,IMO....Anyone else, and the NDP is toast...again."

I can smell the burning toast, Andy!

Apparently altering documents in an official investigation followed by a resignation is fine with the delegates as long as one did not get convicted...

B.C. politics - never a dull moment!
Most everyone seems to forget all the BS, the scandals and lying the Liberals have done in the past. Guess it's OK to sell our public resourses for a song, privatize most of our assetes, rip up binding contracts and up paying millions of our money back when they lose in court. Yes lets just vote those crooks back in and carry on as if nothing happened at all. Wish there was some more alternatives, maybe that new Conservative party?
I agree Prince George...talked to a friend in Vancouver last night who has always been a strong NDP'er.(we argue a lot!)
He said that he was completely blown away by what happened.
He was a strong Farnworth supporter.
I mentioned that I would have considered voting NDP, had Farnworth won.
"And so would a lot of others",he said.
He also said he gives up...too many years of watching the NDP shoot itself in the foot and alienating itself from the voters in B.C.
And for what?
He say's he will be looking for an alternative to the NDP now.
The NDP may regret this, but I wonder if they really care about winning?
Maybe it's just a paycheque?
I watched the reaction of Farnworth to the outcome of the final vote and it was one of utter disbelief and total disappointment.

Dix may not last very long - he seems to have a temper issue.

(Just my own personal observation from watching him during Question Period sessions).
Farnworth seemed like a nice guy, a moderate, but there's still a large segment of the population that would never vote for him because he's gay, regardless of their political affiliation.

I think Horgan probably would have been their best choice, as he has no baggage.
