By 250 News
Prince George, B.C. - The timing for the change of command at the Prince George detachment of the RCMP has been nailed down.
Superintendent Brenda Butterworth-Carr will be leaving the detachment as of April 29th. She has recently sold her home and will be moving to Ottawa where she will take on the rank of Chief Superintendent and her duties as Officer in Charge of National Aboriginal Police Services.
The new commander, Inspector Eric Stubbs, ( who will move up to the rank of Superintendent when he gets to Prince George) will take on his new duties as head of the P.G. detachment in the first week of June.
The gap between Butterworth-Carr's leaving, and Stubbs' arriving will see Staff/Sergeant Brad Anderson, currently acting Officer in Charge of Operations, take over the duties as acting Officer in Charge of the Prince George Detachment.
Inspector Keith Redl, the newly named Operations Officer for the Prince George Detachment, is anticipated to be in his new post in Prince George before the end of June, 2011.
