Prince George, B.C.-  Advance voting for the 41st general election begins tomorrow, and continues  Saturday, April 23 and Monday, April 25.

Elections Canada says concerns have been expressed about the advance polls coinciding with statutory holidays and religious observance for some religions, the dates are not chosen by Elections Canada.

The Canada Elections Act says advance polls will occur on the 10th, 9th and 7th days before election day. Subsection 171(2) of the Act is clear that these can be the only dates for advance polls. As the election has been called for Monday, May 2, advance polls must be held on Friday, April 22, Saturday, April 23 and Monday, April 25.

"We recognize that many electors will find the advance polling dates inappropriate or inconvenient and we fully understand their concerns," said Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Marc Mayrand. "It is important that electors choose the voting option that best suits their individual circumstances."

The location of the advance poll will be on the voter information card which should have been delivered by now.

- Advance polls are open from noon to 8:00 p.m.

"It's easy to vote on any one of three advance voting days," says Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand. "It takes most voters only a few minutes to cast their ballot. If you are not already on the list of electors, you may register to vote at your advance polling station, provided you bring authorized identification."

I am not going to suggest who we should vote for, heck I am even confued at the moment. But I do think people should make an extra effort to get out and vote for someone, and maybe we won't be doing this again in 1 to 2 years.
you don't vote you really don't have much to complain about later on.

Have a great Easter weekend all.
I think the voter turnout in Cariboo-Prince George will be an all time low. It has been a boring campaign and Harris is guaranteed to win.

The Liberal Candidate is a UBC student who is not from the region and appears to have no interest in the campaign. The NDP candidate is another university student (at least he if from the north) but he is not old enough to shave.
