Starting today, and for at least two weeks, anyone on City water north of the Nechako, may find the water coming from the taps to be discoloured.
The City of Prince George is testing new components of the water sypply system now through the 17th of March.
The new intermediate reservoir on Foothills Blvd will be filled in stages so that leak testing may be conducted.
During this time it is necessary to reverse flow in major supply lines to the Hart/Nechako area and it is possible that temporary discoloration of water could be experienced. This should clear and the water will return to normal within a few hours.
Questions and concerns can be aired by calling the Utility Operations Hotline at 561-7505.
