International Journalist with P.G. Ties to Visit

Hadani Ditmars speaks here March 8th
Internationally known journalist Hadani Ditmars is coming to Prince George for two speaking engagements to mark International Women's Day.
The author of "Dancing in the No Fly Zone: A Woman's Journey Through Iraq" was chosen by two national newspapers (The Globe & Mail and Vancouver Sun) as one of the best of 2005. In her book she explores the culture of Iraq, and tells of art, beauty, architecture and music both before and after the US invasion.
Ms. DItmars has deep roots in Prince George. Both her parents attended PGSS. Her Grandmother, was a Trustee for Shool District 57 her Grandfather was Mayor of Prince George in the early '50's.
Hadani is an independent reporter whose credits include articles for the Globe and Mail, the New York Times, Time, Newsweek Vanity Fair and Vogue.
Her visit here on March 8th has her speaking at UNBC at 11 a.m. in the Conference Centre room 6-205. Later in the day she will attend a reception at CNC and make her presentation at the College at 7 p.m.
