Teen Killed Near Vanderhoof

A collision involving a snowmobile and logging truck has claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy from Vanderhoof.

RCMP say the fatal crash occurred on a logging road southeast of that community.  

Officers from both Vanderhoof and Prince George say they continue to investigate the circumstances that led up to this tragic event.

Police say the accident occurred on the 400 Road, off the Bobtail Forest Service Road.

The victim's identity is not being released at this time.

Tragic consequences for a young lad barely old enough to drive.

Driving these types of recreational vehicles on roads designed for much larger types of equipment doesn't provide much of a chance if you meet.
