Building Boom In Fraser-Fort George

The building buzz that's been keeping construction crews busy in Prince Goerge is not isolated to the Urban area. The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is also noting an increase in activity. Here are the latest stats on building permits January to May 31 of this year compared to the same time period in 2004:
Total Number of permits so far this year 110 compared to 79 last year
Value of permits this year is $3,869,750 compared to $3,123,950 for this time last year
Total Permit Fees in 2005 are$32,783, while last year at this time they were $24,208
Single Family Dwelling Permits issued by the end of May were 17 compared to 11 a year ago
Value of SFD Permits is up to $2,694,000 while last year it was $1,403,000
