Trucking Talks Continue

Talks between negotiating agents for independent truckers and Lakeland's logging contractors are just getting underway.

Steelworkers negotiator Wade Fisher says talks with Canfor's conctractors late yesterday went well. Fisher says there is always a wrinkle, but they are moving in the right direction. A second round of talks with the Canfor's contractors is expected to get going at 4:00 this afternoon.

Fisher says it is possible they will be able to work out a tentative agreement before the weekend is over.
